Hello! So in honor of a few things here for a minute much of southern Arizona was under a freeze warning over last weekend. And places like Flagstaff saw a lot of snow. But they are in the hills. In Wyoming the Big Horn Mountains finally saw a good deal of snow. I say finally because a terrible forest fire has been burning out of control there for almost two weeks. And went from one side of the mountain to the other burning around 96000 acres! The snow finally brought the fire under control! And I have never seen that many Wyoming people pray for snow. Understandably so though. In honor of all of that and it being Fall. This is from the top of the Big Horns in 2020 around Bear Lodge and The Medicine Wheel. And snow. Not a lot of snow you will say BUT this was 2020 in July!
After this devastating fire that caused the evacuation of many of the small towns I grew up around and in these mountains will never look as they did again in my lifetime at least.
So I am very glad I took this trip to the mountains in 2020 and than a quick visit last year.
Bear Lodge is where we stayed on this trip.
This turned into an Amazing trip because
just before this I met my buddy in Billings Montana and
he had never been to Sheridan
And I played tour guide for the first time
More on this trip will show here for sure.
On another day.
More snow near The Medicine Bow
And the view.
