All I can say here is Wow!
The Monsoon season here in the desert is finally in full force and I love it!
Last Monday afternoon at work the rain hit us of hours and hours.
The above picture is after the rain had moved on and I took this picture from the top of the four story parking garage at work.
I have been able to get some Amazing sunset pictures and such the last few weeks around work.
And of course some are of the beyond Beautiful campus and buildings and pool and such.
These will start showing in my blog pages here in the next few daze for sure.
Picture I took right after the above one.
I have yet to take a good picture of lighting or fireworks some how I can not ever get an actual shot of either.
Part of my job now is standing pool side until the pool area closes.
This time of year it becomes more interesting because work has an lightening detector on top of this very parking garage. That picks up lightening with in a ten mile radius
and we have to get everyone out of the pool and pool area whenever the detector goes off
no matter if it is sunny over head or not.
I used to have more trouble getting customers to the safety of inside
but than I learned that a worker actually saw lightening strike the other pool on site last summer.
And after telling this story to customers, they are all more than ready to get out of the pool area.
OK one more quick story here and than a few more pictures for Y'all!
I lived in Oregon and Washington state for years and years.
Where most of the winter it is raining.
And even when it is not raining it is dark and cloudy outside.
After that I thought I would never enjoy rain again.
But it is great here!
Mostly because the rain drops are cold
and the storms drop the temperatures in the desert heat almost instantly.
On the day pictured here it quickly dropped to the 70's outside!
I go with it gets so Dang hot here in the desert that at some point God takes pity on us and the skies just dump cooling rain on us all! As he may also be trying to drown the Devil
Who I have written about this before Also lives in the desert I am sure.
It is also a whole different ball game here in the open desert when it does rain
because the ground just can not take all the rain and everything instantly floods.
Including the roads.
Over another work parking lot.
And now some coffee talk because I have not talked about coffee since my last Exploring blog post here. Yesterday
At the Homestead one fine evening. I live on a hill over looking Tucson and got to spend the night watching loads of lightening!!
It also happened to be sticker day at several coffee shops.
More on my sticker compulsion later.
