10/20/2025 Today's Picture o The Day Longhorn & Beyond.

Today picture comes from several years ago     and my very first visit to The Longhorn!
They had just reopened after years and years of being closed.
This picture got a ton of views because I also had pictured a six pack of brew from The Tombstone Brewery on the roof of my vehicle.

I believe I went the first week they were open.
And it was a madhouse inside.
I was not going to eat    but after waiting at the bar so long for a drink   I decided I needed some steak strips.
This is different than a lot of my pictures     where the places simply are no more.
And by the sounds of it   I may need to add another Amazing place to this list    that I have visited.  The Ignite Museum    Neon Museum    in Tucson   had a large fire last night sadly.
And it sounds like much of the collection was destroyed.
I got to visit there one very hot day last year    and will find the pictures and showcase them here very soon.

Yesterday the road took me to The Longhorn again.
From Tucson simply go South on the I 19 Highway
Where exit distances are still told in KM
I had walked around in sun for a good bit before  getting here   so had hoped to sit at the bar and have a cold drink.   But on this Sunday not a single empty seat could be found at the bar.

The entry into the bar actually takes you inside the mouth.

Just across the street   this classy looking steak house    remains closed.
As it was years ago    when I was way out here last.

Just a bit up the street.
I wish to look around inside so bad.

Another place that has very recently reopened     now as a Moose Lodge.
Still in Greater Tucson    but almost to the city limits.
I got pictures out here about two years ago and the place  was fully shut down.
There was also some very neat looking objects behind the fences.
I was very surprised to see multiple cars out front yesterday
And thought  about going inside and looking around but was not sure the Moose would invite that.

More on these buildings and my entire bit of Exploring from yesterday coming soon.
Also a long version of places I have Explored that just no longer exist from Arizona and beyond.

Circle of life.

Speaking of that I leave you with this shot of the grandbaby.
She is about to turn two
Amazing.  For it seems like she was just born.
