Just a few posts ago I was Exploring just off the Highway at the newly purchased but not open yet restaurant at the Vail Arizona exit.
And a little bit just behind the building.
I have been here several times before Exploring but on that particular day there was a new fence up preventing anyone from getting to close to the long abandoned outlying buildings.
Last night I came across these pictures from March of 2024 when you could still access the whole area.
Cheers!
I am sure coffee at The Homestead started out this day. But it defiantly was not going to rain on me on this particular walk about.
This was a new paint job at the time.
For a long empty building.
Not sure if the new look is better or worse
but it certainly draws your eyes to the building.
Just to the right of the large building.
Many years ago there was an abandoned double wide trailer right about this spot too.
Sorry I really like these tree images.
It also shows once again that I tend to take similar pictures each time I visit the same area.
Part of the junkyard about 200 feet behind the building.
I pictured the cash register parts from this same area in the latest post.
I really wish I could find the dump sight for the outlaying buildings.
Plates!
Right about here is where the new fence stopped my Exploring a few weeks ago.
Lets go for a little walk Shall we??
Random garbage strewn about through the desert
But no shopping carts or lone shoes both I seem to find in most of my walk abouts in the open desert.
We are almost to the old buildings.
I take pictures that is what I do.
Wow
I have talked about this before But in this part of Arizona you really have to look to find such spray painting.
And some of it really is art.
Building Number Two
Right about here is where I found this object.
Here pictured on my sticker table at my Homestead
I know what it is do you???
Tell us in the comments here if you know.
Front porch
Time to head back to my ugly vehicle.
I do like the color though.
Yesterday I was out and about taking pictures.
Today I got in much more Exploring than I had planned
Including this great sculpture spotting!
Last year it got highly vandalized on the other side of Tucson
And they just put it back in its new home.
More on this and my random Exploring and pictures from today very soon of course.
