Today's picture of the day
Actually is from today.
Right out my front door!
In a break from the rain drops.
We -especially in Tucson are getting way above average Monsoon rain totals this year.
In fact Thursday around the Tucson airport saw almost two inches of rain
in an almost six hour long rain storm!
Las summer I recall two rain storms the entire summer long.
It was just super hot and the hot would not go away.
I love Monsoon season!
After living in Oregon and Washington state for so long I never thought I would enjoy rain so much again.
But it is a whole new ball game here in the desert.
It is a super cooling rain,
the rain itself is cold and it cools off the outside temperatures.
On Thursday it was nearing 110 outside here
and the rains let loose-----hard core when it started
the wind was blowing the dumping rain fully sideways
And it dropped to 75 outside almost instantly.
It is also a different ball game because the ground in the desert does not know what to do with all of this rain. So everything around instantly floods more than not.
I have been able to get some amazing cloud and sunset pictures over the last few weeks.
And of course have multiple multiple pictures from The Homestead
But those are for another day.
Happy Trails!
